Capcom’s Okami Art Site

By Shaun Hatton - April 3rd, 2008

With Okami slated to be released for Wii on April 15, Capcom has launched a site devoted to showing off some of the game’s artwork.

You’ll find everything from character designs, background art, wallpapers, to even fan art (you can even submit your own!).

It’s pretty cool for Capcom to have done this, as the developer employs some of the world’s most talented artists. Capcom has released books of their game art for as long as I can remember, and Okami is no exception to this. The site includes a link with more information on the Okami Official Complete Works art book.

Did anyone actually end up getting the okami artbook?? in the greater toronto area? I had it preordered early last year with the launch date in july…that never happened and so it turns out it apperently never got launched, here atleast, I got my preorder back and went and got something else. So did anyone have any luck?

Alex: I’d recommend calling a comic shop to have them order it. I just called Stadium Comics (my local shop: 905-451-3751) and they can order it in. A lot of the older Street Fighter art books are unfortunately out of print.

Hmmm maybe I’ll give it a shot, I just really bugged me when I was told no one had it in…well bookstore’s did anyway, and every single one of them said they didnt have it at there warehouse either, so there was some mix up somewhere. Thank you though….I take it stadium comics is in the durham region?

Brampton, actually. Ask them about shipping if they’re far from you because I think they may do that, too.

  6. I for one have been totally in love with Okami since I got my hands on it so long ago. The sad thing is, I’ve never really gone and finished it. I have my runs at it, but then let it sit for a while before picking it up again. It’s one of the only games I truly never want to end, so there it sits in wait.

On to the real topic, DO WANT this art book.
