TORONTO THUMBS MAILBAG
It’s time to answer your letters
By Shaun Hatton - July 10th, 2008
Since starting Toronto Thumbs, we’ve received a surprising number of emails with both compliments, suggestions, and questions. We tend to provide individual replies to all the mail we get, and we’ll continue to do so. However, a recent comment we received was to have a Q & A feature on the site. Seems like an all right idea to us, so here you go! Welcome to our very first Toronto Thumbs Mailbag. We hope you’ll find it enjoyable
Ok, so where’s the cheapest/otherwise best place to buy a Wii? My wife wants to pick one up tonight. Me? Not intending on preventing her. Indeed, on the contrary… :)
- Reay, Toronto
Right now you can find a Wii in and around Toronto from most stores for $279.99. There are a few stores that sell them for $269.99 but considering the somewhat scarcity of the system, I’d recommend you pick one up when you see it. After all, it’s only a $10 difference in price, and you’d probably spend that much in gas alone combing the neighbourhood for the best deal. When you do get your Wii, hit us back with an email and we’ll pass along our friends codes.
I was on your site yesterday - tried to be anyway. Where was it? What was that monster you had up in its place?
- Dan, Woodbridge
Sadly, Toronto Thumbs was out of commission for several hours yesterday morning for an important server upgrade and other fancy things. To upgrade our databases, the server techs needed to take the site offline for a few hours. It came back sporadically throughout the day, sometimes displaying errors such as the one you saw.
