We blew our graphics budget on this illustration.
Last January, way back when the site only had a handful of readers (oh how we’ve grown!), I wrote a goofy article comparing the NES and Sega Master System Ghostbusters games. With it being the eve of the release of the wildly anticipated this-gen Ghostbusters game, I thought some of you might enjoy the read.

“On the other hand, it is a bit odd that the icon for your car in the NES version is a backwards Ghostbusters logo. How hard would it have been to get that minor detail right?”
that’s not a mistake. that’s a clarification. What happens is most people are oriented to play games where the character is facing right. Even if they don’t change direction when you move left most people would grasp visually the icon if it’s facing right over left so that’s what they did. just think of how many sidescrollers you know that go right to left. Because aside from special levels and Yoshi Touch n Go (which I customized) I really can’t think of any much less popular ones.
