To coincide with the release of Watchmen on DVD and Blu-Ray this week, the prequel story, Watchmen: The End Is Nigh starring Rorschach and Nite Owl II will be released as a retail disc. For the PlayStation 3, fans will be able to purchase The Complete Experience, which includes both parts of The End Is Nigh plus the movie on Blu-ray format. Xbox 360 gamers will have to make do with purchasing the retail game and DVD movie separately. Sadly neither of these options looks like a good deal to people who’ve already purchased The End Is Nigh Part 1 as a digital download, and for these people who supported the critically-slighted game, the feeling of buying the same thing twice could only be topped by a crowbar to the face courtesy of Rorschach.
So what do you make of all this? Have you already purchased a digital copy of The End Is Night Part 1, but still want the second part? Does it make you feel like you’ve wasted your money on the digital download when you’re getting it again?

nope. i waited for precisely this reason. We haven’t had movie and game on the disc since Stranglehold. THIS is a feature of Blu-Ray they need to be pushing (the space). This is something that I feel could actually get average people interested in it. People already buy horrible games because of their favorite movies. If you tell them they can get the movie and the game on one disc it would be a madhouse. Think about it instead of a brick ton of horrible kids movies-based games they could just stick them on the disc and they’d be smaller so they might actually have a bit more polish maybe even achieve mediocrity.
I fail to see how this isn’t a win for everyone. Kids get games AND movies. B/c it’s blu ray parents are paying more. Because it has to fit with the movie the games will be smaller so development studios can actually finish them.
I seriously hope kids aren’t playing this game and watching this movie.
…But I do see your point, nonetheless!
hahahha
