TORONTO THUMBS PODCAST
Season 2, Episode 9

After the episode in which Adam and I realized we’re the two standby guys for the podcast, what does he do? He flakes on us completely to go see G.I. Joe. Only he didn’t actually end up seeing G.I. Joe. Instead, he went to see District 9, a movie most people really love. Adam hated it.
Well, Adam, that’s what you get for flaking! You also missed being a ninja, which was awesome. We might as well start calling you “Bugsy.”
In this episode of the podcast, Jorge and I talk mostly about news and some games we’re looking forward to. Enjoy!

I never thought Adam was the glue that held the show together but to be honest you guys were a tad more flaky this episode. Though I’m dying with curiosity about the picture. If the two of you are having a Ninja Battle who was holding the (obviously high speed) camera? Are you guys SO fast you can hold the camera and pose at the same time?
I knew I should have sent in some questions about FP. I eagerly anticipate the article. I love that game and not just cause it’s the first multi-player game I bought that wasn’t a year old this decade. If you’re list isn’t full and you’re looking for peeps with headsets throw me on. It and Singstar are all I seem to play lately.
Two more notes. 1) That explanation of FP while accurate was one of the most convoluted explanations I’ve ever heard. Maybe not one of the most but it was pretty convoluted. 2) Did you have the game since launch or post patch? I for one, fall in the camp of ‘patch fixed all’. 2 days after launch I couldn’t get in a game. If I wanted to wait 15 minutes to play I’d be in @Home (Zing!). I still think the UI for online is terrible but it works and once I’m in I stop caring.
Anyway good show.
third note: the battle makes sense because you have two princesses and only one prince. obviously WAR is the only solution for the pockmarked prince prize.
Yeah surprisingly despite his ongoing ramblings and making up of words, Adam does tend to keep us on track. I wasn’t kidding when I said he brings lists to the podcasts. I’m certain he just keeps the list in his pocket all the time, and adds to it whenever he thinks of something to say about a particular gaming trend. He doesn’t write much on the site, but his contributions are nonetheless appreciated!
I think what happened here was that we were so used to having him around and so used to trying to get our points in that we missed that battle and it shows it how it turned out. I’m still happy with this episode and it was a lot of fun to produce - but yes, Adam is key.
You see that Adam? Stop flaking on us!
Hilarious. And profane. And totally not pretentious.
Well, until Jorge used the phrase “Tabula Rasa.”
To be fair, we didn’t say it would be free of pretension, just that it would have 65% less pretension.
Hey Wolfkin. I’m sure you meant flaky like yummy pastry. Because that’s what we are all right.
I think.
:)
In all honesty, I was pretty wiped, and dealing with a few things.
Nobody was holding the camera, except our Tripod Robot, Dewey.
If you want the skinny on the photos (or want to see some of the other ones taken with Film SLR, send me an e-mail).

And Dave, caveat emptor, muthafugga.
The Peter Griffin and George Lucas impersonations are OUTSTANDING! ..and yes please, ask your DOCTOR about Oxvylu. For GTA residents go to Queen & Ossington.
Will Oxvylu make me a manlier man?
Oxvylu will turn anyone into a man! Works better when you let it dissolve under your tongue for a quick release to main arteries. Listening to the podcast and looking at the ninja picture is manly as well : )
Oxvylu will put hair on your chest.
Sadly, the hair on your chest is a comb-over from the hair on your back.
I spoke to a somebody and this is what they told me:
Not to be mixed with Oxvylu 1)oxycontin 2)hypo-allergenic peanuts 3)shell fish. To be mixed with Oxvylu 1)Castlevania 2)Final Fight 3)Doom 4)Podcasts.
You forgot 5) All of the Above.
