Electric Six is finally making its Rock Band debut next week with their songs “Dance Epidemic,” “Gay Bar,” and “I Don’t Like You,” and I couldn’t be happier about this.
I’ve been a huge fan of Electric Six ever since I first heard their album, I Shall Exterminate Everything Around Me That Restricts Me From Being The Master, two years ago. The band had been around before then, but I had somehow missed out on hearing the party anthems “Gay Bar” and “Danger! High Voltage.” But to make up for this, I went out and bought all their albums and listened to them obsessively and exclusively.
Their previous album, Flashy, was released almost one year ago and has only recently left its home in my car stereo, being replaced now by a review copy of Kill, the band’s upcoming album (which is out October 20, 2009). Here’s my friend Christian’s review of the album.
The Rock Band songs will be available October 6 for Xbox 360 at the price of 160 Microsoft Points each or 440 Microsoft Points for the three pack (which is what I’m getting) while the PSN (which will have the songs on October
charge will be $1.99 USD per track or $5.49 USD for the three pack. Wii rockers will have to shell out 200 Nintendo Points per track and don’t appear to have the option for a three pack, but at $2 a pop, it’s still worth it.
I’ll be getting my Rock Band drum set out of storage for this one and am looking forward to doing my best Dick Valentine impression on vocals, too.
