The Rabbids Put The New Renault Grand Scénic Through Tests

The lovable Rabbids are about to make their annual videogame appearance in the upcoming Ubisoft game Rabbids Go Home. But before they head home, it looks like a bunch of them have taken up jobs with French automaker Renault and are putting the new Renault Grand Scénic through the paces.
These tests have all been filmed for our amusement, and they’re nothing short of what we’ve come to expect from the Rabbids. What is remarkable, however, is how well the pairing with Renault actually works. It doesn’t come across as a pathetic, “Our cars our cool, so buy them please!” plea like we’re inundated with from North American car companies.
Instead, this promotion is highly affective from an awareness standpoint. The Rabbids’ humour makes light of actual car tests and specs automakers tend to boast about, and this tongue-in-cheek approach combined with the slick overall presentation of the promo site make for one of the most compelling car ad campaigns I’ve ever seen. And dammit, I kinda want a Renault Grand Scénic now.
The site’s in French, but it’s easily navigable thanks to some intuitive interface design. Plus, the Rabbids’ language is that of laughter, so chances are that no matter which language you speak, you will understand what’s going on.
