Yes, this is an ACTUAL CAKE. It’s by far the most metal cake I have ever seen, so it’s only fitting that it was at Monday’s Brütal Legend Wrap Party at Bimbo’s 365 Club.

On a serious note, I could not bring myself to cut into this work of art. But I’d definitely help eat it.

This morning I was looking at Cake Wrecks, and then I turn to this and …well, just the icing on the cake!

Scratch that, this is METAL on the cake!

The icing was not mercury, however.

I kept thinking how much fun this cake must have been to make

The spikes look like they were made from bananas. As a metal monkey, can you confirm this?

  6. I HOPE those are bananas.

The whole top (silver metal) portion seemed to be just decoration and was not served … but I would think the horns were bananas.

  8. I’m glad you guys liked the cake. It was super fun to make, especially since I am Jack Black’s biggest fan and was listening to Tenacious D the whole time I was making it. NO, those where not bannans, but styrofoam. Absolutely everything was edible except the 5 horns.

@Gabrielle - excellent job on the cake! And big thanks for clarifying what the horns were made out of.

  10. Love the mask and the details such as the teeth and guitar!
