Transformers: War for Cybertron Trailer

A longer trailer for Transformers: War on Cybertron was unleashed upon the world recently, showing an extended battle on Cybertron between the heroic Autobots and evil Decepticons. Let’s bot spot for a moment here: We’ve got Skywarp, Bumblebee (or Hot Shot), Optimus Prime, Megatron, Soundwave, Trypticon, and Omega Supreme. Plus a whole slew of others. The game takes place millions of years ago, before the fateful voyage that saw the Autobots and Decepticons crash land on Earth in The Ark.

The trailer is in HD and looks freaking fantastic. Not long ago I lamented that the Transformers movies helmed by Michael Bay could have been so much more – and this short trailer is actually better than both those movies. This is The Transformers.

I might be setting myself up for disappointment by getting so into it this early in the game, no pun intended. But the Transformers lover in me just can’t help it. Watch the video and see how amazing it looks for yourself.

Wow, you’re right – this is what the Transformers movies should have been like. There’s a lot of MICHAELBAYSPLOSIONS in there but I can forgive them because it looks like their character designs are from Generation One.

Seconded to all the above. Pardon me whilst I mop up my drool.

Yeah, I just had to watch it again to make sure it was real. Fingers are crossed, as are my eyes. Let me know when it’s safe to uncross them. In the meantime, I will be enjoying my two cupcakes.
