There is a great event being held at the Bloor Cinema on June 26: Can’t Stop The Serenity (CSTS) is renting the Bloor that day for a showing of Joss Whedon’s Serenity to raise money for Equality Now, a fantastic group working for the protection and promotion of the human rights of women all around the world.
After the movie, an auction will be held for some really great items, one of which is an XBox 360 with Halo3 signed by Alan Tudyk and Adam Baldwin (two of the voice actors), both of whom are also in Serenity.
Doors will open at 11:30 a.m.; photos of the auction items will be shown on the big screen in the hour before the movie starts. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.
