Jorge: Hey there. You’ve been playing The Ultimate Alphabet. How is it?
Kirk: Quite addictive. And i’m not usually a Scrabble/Word Search kind of guy. Big beautiful Renaissance-like painting and there are 362 “A” words that you need to identify. 362 “A” words!!!!!!
Jorge: I think this is actually based on a book from the 80′s. I actually seem to remember something like that. It sounds like it translates nicely into game format, especially on iOS?
Kirk: It has easy zoom-in/out functionality in the usual iPod way, and it gives you the option of randomly selecting another word, so that you don’t end up poking pixels hoping to find that word you haven’t gotten yet. I’m working off an iPod, but this would be brilliant on an iPad…
Jorge: Sounds intense. Cool.
Kirk: They do a good job of removing the frustration factor by giving you different levels of hints, so that you can always get to the word, even if you haven’t ever heard it before… and with 362, i definitely had to go that route on a couple.
Jorge: So a good game for the wordies out there. Awesome! Balanced and fun?
Kirk: Definitely… if you like words, or are a bit of a Renaissance man/woman around history, astronomy, mythology, zoology… then you’ll do well here.
