To Infinity and Beyond
I Can Show You the World…

Aladdin has been out for Disney Infinity 2.0 for a while now, and we have enjoyed his antics for quite some time. He is an agile character, whose long stint as a “street rat” has given him experience with acrobatic moves and skill with a scimitar. Of course, when all else fails, there is always the Genie’s lamp, which holds considerable magical power. Recently, he has finally been joined by his gal, Jasmine, who is the perfect partner-in-crime for the apple of her eye1.

While Aladdin wields the lamp, Jasmine is no slouch. Her agility is every bit a match for Aladdin, and while she isn’t armed, she has a deadly series of melee attacks – one of which uses her hair! The princess of Agrabah also has access to desert magic, summoning whirling winds to help dispatch her enemies. Her special ability is a far more aggressive version of her ranged attack, dealing massive damage once you unlock all of the bonuses in the skill tree. Both Aladdin and Jasmine’s special abilities affect a generous area immediately around them (let’s call it short to medium range), so overlapping their special attacks is a good way to deal with any issues that crop up.

Being ground-based, neither character can fly on their own. However, while it’s fun to use some of the toys to fly around, it is far better to use the rare Aladdin’s Magic Carpet power disc (if you are lucky enough to find it); you’ll be able to outfit each of them with their own magic carpet (which is surprisingly agile and has a boost function).

Aladdin and Jasmine – together at last!

Each figure is a great representation of these Disney characters, and they are also quite durable. Also, as an added bonus, those that loved the original film are in for a treat – Linda Larkin and Scott Weinger reprise their roles as the voices of Jasmine and Aladdin from the 1992 classic!

Currently you can grab Aladdin or Jasmine on their own. However, if you don’t have either of them, you might consider trying to find the Aladdin Toy Box Pack, which features both figures and two power discs (Jasmine’s Palace View and The Sands of Agrabah).
