Muse – The Brain Sensing Headband

By Jorge Figueiredo - March 23rd, 2015

If you have been a subscriber for a while (or if you are some kind of crazy marathon reader or have been searching specifically for this), you’ll know that I am a big fan of the Muse brain sensing headband. This great device offers the ability to train your brain to be calmer (check this article for more details). Well, the fine folks at InteraXon have been kind enough to provide a Muse brain sensing headband for our final contest! Check out the details after the jump.

The Muse brain sensing headband is valued at around $300, and when paired with the Calm app, will help you to find your center. While it sounds like some kind of strange science-fiction mumbo-jumbo, I assure you that it is quite real – and quite effective. When I went to their office and tried it out, I was very impressed – and I think that this technology is a great idea!

Before we get to the entry details, I wanted to mention that InteraXon is redesigning their developer website, and they are looking for your help. If you like, after take a look at their site, you can provide a little love by filling out this survey. To be clear, this does not affect your chances in the contest – but it would be cool if you could provide some feedback for them. Also note that there is a free SDK available for developers to build their own apps and experiences with!

You could win one of these!

Back to the contest. We have a single unit to give away, so the competition will be fierce! If you’d like to enter for a chance to win it, simply e-mail us. At the beginning of the body your e-mail, please include the following:

  • Include your full name.
  • Include your mailing address.
  • Include your e-mail address.
  • We’re looking to see what you think of Muse, and what you would build with it. Write a quick description your idea – even a simple one will suffice.

Once the contest entry period is over (deadline is March 30, 2015 at 11:59 PM), the winner will be determined by drawing from all qualifying entry ballots. Once the winner is chosen, we will contact them to sort out the prize delivery details (and they can choose which colour they would like).

Please make sure to click the link above to e-mail us. It is very important, as we receive a lot of e-mails every day and the subject line makes it easy to find all of the entries. We will not be held responsible if you do not click the link. If you find that the link does not work, please use the subject line: “My Muse-ings…”

Good luck!
