By Mike Jackson - May 13th, 2010

We at Toronto Thumbs know that gamers are a thrifty bunch; saving money when acquiring a game means that you have more money to acquire more games later! Really, if you think about it, saving an infinite amount of money on an infinite amount of games means that everything is free eventually, right?

Maybe not; however, this listing is the next best thing if you want to save some coin and come out of the deal with some great stuff to play…[ed]

Crash Castles Cheaply
Castle Crashers On sale for 560 Microsoft Points

By Shaun Hatton - December 30th, 2009

Castle Crashers On sale for 560 Microsoft Points

Microsoft is continuing with their holiday sales by dropping the much-loved Castle Crashers to just 560 Points for today only. If you like crazy multiplayer games full of disgusting humour and fart jokes, and you somehow do not already own Castle Crashers, consider this your golden opportunity to make that investment.

With the game typically selling for 1200 Microsoft Points, this is a great savings indeed. Also, if you didn’t have New Years Eve plans, now you pretty much do.

120 GB PS3 With Two Great Games For $299

120 GB PlayStation 3 With Two Great Games For $299

I’m not one to usually post about gaming deals. But with this coming weekend being the start of Boxing Day sale madness here in Canada, and since a new stack of flyers were just delivered to my door, I figured, “What the heck.”

So far, I’ve only skimmed the deals briefly. But this one looks to be the biggest and best. Walmart will be selling the PlayStation 3 120 GB as a bundle with two blockbuster titles: Batman: Arkham Asylum and inFAMOUS. Considering this version of the PS3 usually sells for this same price minus the games, this deal gets the thumbs up. The only downside here is that you have to go to Walmart to get it. One could always try to price match elsewhere, though. If you’re looking for a PS3, still, this is definitely a deal to watch.

Zellers will have these titles on sale for $29.99 each. These games are all highly enjoyable, and I recommend all of them. Click on the titles to read our reviews of each game.

8GB Zune

If you’ve been holding out on getting a Zune, now seems to be a great time to buy one. Future Shop has cut the price of the 8GB Zune to $99.99, but the sale ends November 20. This is the exact same model that I own and I consider it to be the best MP3 player I’ve used. Read my reviews of the 8GB and 120GB models for more details.
