In this episode, we try to remember what this whole Internet talkery is all about. Mike Jackson, now a happy staff member (he gets our coffee most days and teaches us sitar weekly), joins us once again. This is our first podcast in over three months, so we ditch the structure in favour of an actual conversation approach. Our podcast image this week is a photo of us recording the show. Is Shaun holding two beverages? Yes, indeed.

TORONTO THUMBS PODCAST
Season 2, Episode 9
By Shaun Hatton - August 15th, 2009

After the episode in which Adam and I realized we’re the two standby guys for the podcast, what does he do? He flakes on us completely to go see G.I. Joe. Only he didn’t actually end up seeing G.I. Joe. Instead, he went to see District 9, a movie most people really love. Adam hated it.
Well, Adam, that’s what you get for flaking! You also missed being a ninja, which was awesome. We might as well start calling you “Bugsy.”
In this episode of the podcast, Jorge and I talk mostly about news and some games we’re looking forward to. Enjoy!

Adam and I got together last week to begin a LOST marathon. Instead, we decided to record a podcast with my balcony door open. This resulted in the microphones picking up the sound of every wannabe street racer passing by on the street below.
In this episode, we discuss Punch-Out!! for Wii, my favourite part of Prototype, Ghostbusters Wii versus Ghostbusters Xbox 360, Drug Wars, and the M17 laptop from Alienware. Enjoy!

The Wolfkin keeps a watchful eye on us to make sure we’re not getting out of line. This week, he’s given us a smack for secretly trying to get away with releasing a podcast without doing a post about it. In truth, it was just that it had gotten late and I was too tired/lazy to do one. But hey, here it is.
In S02E03 of the Toronto Thumbs Podcast, Adam, Jorge, and I talk about the recent Nintendo preview event in Toronto, MadWorld, inFAMOUS VS Prototype, and the future of gaming. Also, Jorge really brought a jar of urine to the recording session.
This episode also marks the introduction of our official podcast theme music. After experimenting with different songs throughout the previous podcasts of this season, we have secured a deal with chiptunes artist Oxvylu and his music will now be Toronto Thumbs Podcast music.
This episode has been rated “explicit” but only because of a few poorly-used F-bombs. Enjoy!

“What’s this,” you ask. “Yet another podcast? Isn’t this the third one we’ve released within the week?”
You’re right on all counts. This is our third podcast this week. We surely hope this isn’t a case of us spoiling you, but we simply had too much to talk about and too tired to sit down and write an article about everything. We’ll still be updating for days about what’s coming out of E3, so don’t worry. We just wanted to get our initial thoughts out and this was the fastest way we could do it.

Looks like we’re banging out the podcasts at a rate of two per month, and they’re dropping on the same weekend. In the future we’ll try to space these out a little more, but in the meantime enjoy our discussion on Jarate being real, Resident Evil 5, E3 predictions, Super Mario World, and more.
